Designing new graphics and visual elements is an important step in refreshing your brand. Here are some tips for designing new graphics and visual elements that align with your refreshed brand go into these 7 steps to do it to help you do it consciously :

STEP 1 BRAND PERSONALITY

Understand your brand's personality and tone of voice: Your visual identity should reflect your brand's personality and tone of voice. It should be consistent with the rest of your brand messaging and communication. Brand personality refers to the characteristics associated with a brand. It is the way a brand speaks and behaves, and how it is perceived by its audience. A brand's personality can include traits such as friendly, sophisticated, adventurous, and trustworthy. Developing a strong brand personality can help a brand connect with its target audience on a deeper level and differentiate itself from its competitors. It is important to note that brand personality is different from brand identity, which includes the visual elements of a brand such as its logo, color scheme, and typography.

STEP 2 COMPETITOR RESEARCH

Research your competitors: Look at what your competitors are doing with their visual identities and what works well for them. Take inspiration from their designs but make sure your designs are distinct and unique. In this research gather information about a your competitors in order to understand their strengths and weaknesses, as well as identify any opportunities or threats to the brand. The information gathered can be used to inform strategic decision-making and improve the brand's performance.

STEP 3 SIMPLICITY

Keep it simple and easy to understand. A simple logo is easy to recognize, remember, and reproduce, which can help a brand establish a strong visual identity. A simple logo can also be more versatile and adaptable, making it easier to use across different mediums and applications. Additionally, a simple logo may be more timeless, as it is less likely to become dated or go out of style.

Creating a simple logo often requires distilling the essence of a brand and its message into a few key elements. This can be achieved by using a limited color palette, choosing a clean font, and avoiding overly complicated imagery or design elements. Simplicity in logo design can also be achieved by using negative space, geometric shapes and single color. It's important to note that while a simple logo can be more effective, it can also be more challenging to create as it requires a greater level of creativity and restraint.

STEP 4 ONLY HIGH-QUALITY DESIGN

Using high-quality resolution to create a logo is important because it ensures that the logo will look clear and crisp when it is used in different mediums and applications. When creating a logo, it is important to work with a high-resolution file format such as vector format (EPS, AI, PDF) which allows the image to be enlarged or reduced without losing quality. Vector images are composed of mathematical equations rather than pixels, meaning they can be resized without losing detail or becoming pixelated.

STEP 5 CONSISTENCY IS THE KEY

Be consistent: Consistency is essential when it comes to visual identity because it helps a brand establish a strong and recognizable image. Consistency in the use of color, typography, imagery, and other design elements across different mediums and applications helps to create a sense of cohesiveness and professionalism. Consistency in visual identity help the brand to build trust and credibility with its audience. When a brand's image is consistent across different mediums, it can be more easily recognized and remembered by its audience, which can increase brand awareness and loyalty.

STEP 6 TEST YOUR NEW DESIGNS

Test your designs with your target audience: Before finalizing your designs, test them with a small group of your target audience to get their feedback and make any necessary adjustments. Testing new brand designs can help a brand ensure that its new designs are well-received by its target audience and make any necessary adjustments before launching the new design. It's important to test designs with the target audience, not only with friends or colleagues.
